Frequently asked questions
What is WCAG and why is it required?+
WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) 2.1 AA is the European accessibility standard. Government institutions in the Netherlands are required to make their digital documents comply under the Besluit digitale toegankelijkheid overheid.
How does template memory work?+
Promnis creates fingerprints of the document structure. After the first manual review, the system recognises future documents with the same layout and processes them fully automatically — no further review needed.
Which PDF types are supported?+
All born-digital PDFs are fully supported, including XPP-generated documents (Eerste Kamer, Tweede Kamer), CBS publications and other government formats. Scanned PDFs require additional OCR treatment.
Can I switch plans?+
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time. When upgrading, the remaining credit of the current plan is applied. There is no minimum contract period.
How is security handled?+
All files are stored encrypted on servers in Germany and automatically deleted after the retention period. Promnis is fully GDPR-compliant and does not share data with third parties.
